THE HISTORY OF SPORT FOR ALL FEDERATION

 Sport for all federation with the aim of freshness, happiness and health bringing to the people life and according to statute and regulations of sport federations was established on 1992.

 

This federation is known as TAFISA in the World , ASFAA in the Asia and ISFAF in I.R. IRAN.

 

Until 1979, all physical activities were performed under supervision of provinces' departments . In 1979, after foundation of an establishment named "Jihad" in PEO, all the sports activities were performed under its supervision.

 

"Jihad" establishment was performing in the 5 following areas:

A) Natural Sports

B) Local Sports

C) Games and Entertainments

D) Trim and Fitness

E) Self Defense

 

Afterwards the "Jihad" establishment changed to "Cultural & Social & Sport for All Bureau". So with the agreement of Physical Education Organization(PEO) and IOC "Cultural & Social & Sport for All Bureau" changed to SPORT FOR ALL FEDERAITON , because it could be active with help of sponsors , private sectors and municipalities. Then Sport for All Federation began to work on 1992 according to general statute of federations.

 

Many people are interested to physical activities and tend to have exercises. But some rules and regulations are obstacles and modern lifestyle , having no enough leisure time and high cost of living are hinders of physical activities.

 

Sport for All federation with the "Sport for All" motto, tries to close people to physical activity . So that every one, anywhere, any time and with any budget can participate in sport activities. It means that all people can participate in physical activities through the lowest cost. S.f.A Federation tries to provide good environment for people to do exercises .

 

 

 

It has considered four main principles in its own agenda:

A) Advertisement in order to people attraction towards sport.

Informing people of positive results of exercise and physical activities by TV, Radio , Media, Poster Brochure, etc.

 

B) Improving sport facilities

Cement table tennis buildings , health road, tools for children , and play courts renting in low costs .

 

C) conducting of national , provincial, regional and local festivals , meeting and competitions.

 

D) Holding of educational courses

These courses are included of coach training , trainer , referee , umpire.

 

E) Cooperating with ministries and organizations

Cooperationm with Ministry of Education , Ministry of Higher Education , Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Health and Medical Treat, Armed Forces , and other organizations.

 

For the aiming of above mentioned goals Sport for All Federation has 22 associations, 8 executive committees, and 30 active boards which work on the basis of Sport Calendar under supervision of Sport for All Federation.

 

S.f.A Federation is the member of TAFISA  and some of the board members of Iran Federation are included in TAFIA and ASFAA.

 

The Federation has general assembly whose presidency is by the deputy of PEO. The general assembly takes places annually that determines main goals and strategies of federation whose policies will be performed according to Sport Calendar.
